How to Drink Your Daily Ounces and Not Get Bored

Water. Water. Water.

For some of you, drinking your daily ounces may not be a struggle. You power through those endless water bottle refills and enjoy the sweet taste of that flavorless liquid. But don’t you ever wonder how much easier it would be if your water had a little flavor? I’m not talking about Propel or other sparkling water alternatives, I’m talking about fresh ways to add some life to your drink.

Water is essential for a healthy mind and healthy body, so let’s make it fun. Here are some recipes you can use to  spice up your water and add a little variety to your day.

Lemon & Raspberry

Yes, I said lemon. That citric fruit may taste sour on its own but is great to pair with your drink. The raspberries sweetness matches the tang of the lemon and this combination is sure to make you feel refreshed.

Orange & Blueberry

Grab a handful of blueberries, cut that orange and instead of eating, place them in your water. The combo may seem odd but don’t be fooled – orange and blueberry make a great flavorful pairing.

Mint & Lime

Mint and lime…sounds like the start of a mojito to me! Try kissing the alcohol goodbye and filling your glass with a few mint leaves and a splash of lime (the more the merrier) to make a sweet and tangy treat. At least this drink won’t leave you with a headache in the morning.

Ginger & Peach

Grab a picnic blanket and sweeten up your Sunday meal. Peaches match perfectly with ginger and is sure to make your taste buds smile. Ginger is commonly used in detox recipes, so if your looking for something to rid your body of toxins, this is the drink for you.

Watermelon & Basil

Who doesn’t like fresh, cold watermelon on a hot summer day? Enjoy the taste of summer every time you pick up your glass with this refreshing and vibrant pairing. Basil contains powerful antioxidants and watermelon contains several nutrients.
